I think so. There is a lot of research in to both type 1 and type 2 diabetes, vacinations for type 1 and insulin pumps for type 2. It may take a few years but hopefully there will be progress.
I think there is a good chance that one day research will find a way to help patients with diabetes better than now/cure them. People who research diabetes will be trying hard to understand how the disease happens so they can find ways to stop it.
Lots of studies at the moment are looking at the genes which might affect vulnerability to diabetes. Once these are identified, we will be much better placed to understand the pathways within the body which go wrong in diabetes. We can then develop much more effective drugs to prevent the onset of conditions like diabetes, and will be able to offer much better advice about particular diets to follow etc.
Hey! I always believe that there could potentially be a cure for everything and anything – that’s what science is all about. So many new discoveries are made every day so anything is possible.
Thank you all. I read it i think in an article which said if you clone a human and replace the organ which replaces the pancreas which doesnt produce insulin. But cloning of a human is going to take time.
