The brain is a very plastic organ, so the connections in your brain are get ever more complex throughout life. It terms of physical growth the brain is still growing physically and getting bigger for the first few years of life.

Hiya! Our brains never really stop developing as there is always something new to learn! However, the most development happens during the first 10 years of life.

You tend to have the most neurons (cells) that you brain will ever have right from when you are born. These then lern new messages and signals to control things like movement and language. The cells also grow in size but by the time you are about 2 years old your brain will be almost fully grown (80% ish its full size)

A hell of a lot! It starts out as a simple sheet of cells in the embryo, this then rolls up, and becomes more complicated, with various bits expanding at different rates. At birth, most brain cells are there, but the connections between them are being altered as the baby learns. A similar thing happens again around puberty. As we age, our brains decrease in size, and some neurons die (in diseases like Parkinson’s Disease, this can be catastrophic and affect brain regions involved in movement)

You are always learning new things so brain connections are constantly changing/developing.
