By royal mail not very fast, possibly faster by carrier pigeon. Seriously it depends on what cell types the information has to pass through and how important the information is. Foe example think about if you put your hand on something hot you react pretty quickly don’t you (probably by saying ouch or something similar) and in this case information goes from your hand to your brain and back to your mouth and hand. In cases like this information could travel as fast as 120metres per second. I don’t know about you but I think that’s impressive!

Good question. The fastest transfer of information is through electromagnetic waves – radio waves or light. This speed is very fast 300,000,000 meters per secod.

The fastest information could potentially travel is the speed of light (about 186,000 miles per second), which you have to admit is pretty fast!
