      Most scientists base their work on research findings which are published in so-called ‘peer-reviewed’ journals – this means that other scientists have looked at the work and agreed that the experiment has been performed well. I also use research from books (although these tend to go out of date quickly as they are only published once every few years, whereas journals are generally published once or twice a month), and occasionally from the internet (although you have to be careful about believeing what’s on a lot of websites)
