      Hi Sean. Osmium is a really dense, hard and particularly shiny metal. It doesn’t have many uses, but for a while it was used to make mirrors on space craft and satellites (because it was so shiny). It isn’t used much anymore though. Osmium is incredibly rare on Earth, but is found at much higher levels in space and one of the best places to find osmium is in the impact craters caused when massive meteorites hit the Earth.
