      Hmm we don’t really take the vitamin from the sun ray, it’s more like the UV ray helps us to make Vitamin D…

      Yes it’s converted in the skin when it is exposed to UV. It starts as cholesterol in the liver and also needs a trip via the kidney and the skin with sunlight before we can make vitamin D. Real organ teamwork!

      As Duane and Theresia say, Vitamin D is associated with sunlight. Its a very important vitamin that has health benefits for lots of tissues/organs.

      It is also called sunshine vitamin and the body can make it with the help of the sun as Duane mentioned…..it is very important to help to get calcium from food in the intestine….team work again!!!!!!
