      The plantar fascia is the tough fibrous tissue which makes up your heal and bottom of your foot. Any ‘itis’ is inflammation or damage. So plantar fasciitis is damage normally to the heal it can be seen with over use e.g. in runners

      I remember this one from lectures i had as an undergraduate at university (blast from the past). Its when you damage the underside of your foot so that the arch/heal is very sensitive and hurts each time the foot impacts with the ground…
