I started research in 2009, so that’s 5 years of science! One of the best experience is to have my supervisor telling me Well done for the hard work, now let’s publish! I was like.. hurray my hard work finally leads to discovery!

I started my ‘A’ levels in science over 20 years ago, I have worked in the NHS as a dietitian which I still consider being a scientist. I have been doing research on and off for the last 15 or so years.
Most recent exciting experience was presenting my research in an old palace with painted ceilings and chandeliers in Florence.
I have already mentioned one of the others as my most embarrassing experience trying to do experiments under increased pressure in a simulated dive.

I studied sport and exercise sciences at university in 1999-2002 and then went into PhD research training from that. So i have been in research for 11 years (that’s scary….). It a fantastic job as it lets you intact with so many different people and travel the world in doing so. I’ve been lucky to have presented my work at conferences across the UK, Europe, USA, Canada, Australia. I worked for 3 years at a University in California which was an amazing experience. Its a great career, highly recommended!!!!

I have been a sci for 11 years now. I have had some amazing experiences. I have worked with some very high profile eleite atheletes, I have been part of a TV documentary about childhood obesity, and have been able to travel to differnt countries to present my research.
