      Negative feedback refers to a control system whereby changes that occur in a system are reversed to return the levels to normal

      A good example of negative feedback in action is the control of our body temperature. If we get too warm, our blood vessels in our skin become larger and we therefore lose heat and cool down. If we become too cold, these same blood vessels become smaller and we therefore lose less heat and become warmer
