I followed what I found interesting – at school I liked maths and was interested in physics, so I did a physics degree. At uni I really liked biological applications of physics and microscopes, so I did a PhD using microscopes in biological applications. After that, I found a great job using microscopes in lots of different applications! I’ve always really enjoyed what I’ve done – and I think that comes from having followed what I found interesting.
