      My favourite bit of equipment is my department’s PET-CT scanner.

      This scanner can give you two kinds of pictures, the first is the structure that makes up your body like your bones and the second is the function of your body what is your body actually doing while we’re scanning. So together we can see what your body is up to and where. This works particularly well for brain scans because we can see which parts of the brain are working normally and which parts appear turned off.

      Most of my work has been centred around this scanner how it works and the images it produces.
