Everyday is different actually, and I love to search information about a protein, or a sequence of DNA by using bioinformatics tools and see what I can find out, as well as use graphical programmes to explore networks of protein-protein interactions etc

Sadly the list of things that I do **every** day is very limited, mostly to lunch & coffee breaks.
And I would not consider washing the coffee cup ‘bioinformatics’.

My favourite this in bioinformatics is the privilege to be allowed to communicate it to people like you!

I like seeing how things are progressing with the lab and reading interesting papers as they come out, it’s a very fast moving field and there’s amazing stuff going on around the world.

I’ll often code at some point during the day and always enjoy getting back to the coal-face for a few hours.
