• Question: What is the weirdest sample that you have ever analysed?

      I don’t think I’ve analysed anything particularly weird, sorry! In terms of samples themselves the ones that stand out are monkey brain tissue, DNA from cells I have genetically altered myself and my own blood. In terms of weird mutations I’ve found in my samples I have found some pretty interesting ones where huge bits of DNA with multiple genes in them get flipped upside down, followed by other sections getting deleted completely.
