      Yeah lot!
      Aside from maintaining your body heat you can also have muscle movement, body growth and your dreams need fuel too!

      Yes – every cell in your body needs energy to do it’s job and calories are what we ‘burn’ to provide it. All your organs, including your brain continue to work and burn energy whether you are awake or not.

      As the others have already said yes you do. How much depends a lot on your weight and the temperature of your body when sleeping (the cooler you are the more you burn). On average it works out at about 1 Calorie per kg of weight.
