      Same as any other virus induced disease: you receive the virus.

      Luckily for us the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) that is responsible for the most common aids condition is not transmitted airborne. The only ways to receive it is to get in contact with fluids that contain it.

      The most common ones is infected human blood.
      Now as sad as this is the two most common ways to doing this is either through sex or reusable syringes that drug addicts use.
