• Question: Do vets use keyhole surgery?

      It’s a relatively new technique.
      The more modern vets who graduated recently and were taught it at vet school do.

      Why not? Your pets want to look pretty too!

      Yes they do an have for a while, but it currently accounts for only about 1% of invasive procedures in animals. It’s not really clear why that value is so low, probably more to do with changing the way vets are trained than special modifications required for animals. Most of the primary veterinary species are mammals with pretty similar gross anatomy to us.
