• Question: What was your favourite lab and why?

      thanks for your question! It’s great. Really made me think. My favourite lab was when I worked with malaria. We were trying to learn all about the parasite Plasmodium falciparum, which is one of a few parasites that causes malaria. I really enjoyed it there because I was in a group of great scientists who were passionate about their work. This means that you get excited by your experiments and can do some really good work. I loved watching the parasites under the microscope too!

      My favourite lab was when we made esters in chemistry. These are chemicals that smell fruity. I made a orange-scented one* that I saved until it just smelt rank. Others made a fake banana one. I can hardly stand the smell of bananas now.
