        Hi Ten3ka

My last answer before heading home tonight…

My opinion is that humans have the best ability to put themselves in someone else’s shoes. So, we know some animals can reason, recognise themselves, use tools, etc. Some seem to have some degree of consciousness. But we’re able to think in our minds what somebody thinks about someone else. Like “I was talking to Darleen, and I think that she thinks that you’re mad at her.”

        Hi Ten3ka,
Great question! From a purely physical point of view, its our DNA that makes yes human, but I’m not sure that’s what you meant in the question! I think our humanity comes from the way that we behave as individuals and as a society.

Language, a sense of self awareness and control over our environment. I don’t think any other animal does all of this.
