Hi Luke
I love astronomy. I’ve been dying to see the northern lights since I moved further north in England. (I was born in Chicago, which is a lot further south.) I have a telescope, but it’s not much good in bright and cloudy skies of south Manchester.
I still check out APOD http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ regularly. It gives me a sense of wonder and perspective.

Astronomy is great! there are so many stars which are so far away and yet we get to see them and study them. I used to live in the countryside in Italy and when the sky was clear we could see so many constellations, it’s really impressive, especially when you know that those are the closest ones and there are plenty that we can’t see by naked eye!
Astronomy is really interesting. Living in Bristol there is usually to much light pollution (or cloud) to see many stars. When I go to remote places you get to see that the sky is covered in stars. One of the courses I did at university was in astronomy and it was fascinating to learn more about the stars and planets.
I think it’s great. I don’t get enough time to look at stars and planets but I really should make time. I think its fascinating that we are constantly finding out new things about our universe!
