      Good question. I think there are a few ways of naming diseases. Sometimes they named after things they are resistant to (MRSA for example), some are named after the part of the body they infect (Appendicitis), some are named after a person or place (Like Ebola – after the Ebola River), and some are completely random by the person who discovered them.
