I think there are two possible answers to this question. Either, for some reason, life on our planet is special and it exists no where else in the universe. That’s quite a chilling thought! If life forms easily, under the same conditions we have here on Earth… then I think it will be all over the universe.
It is predicted that in our own Galaxy, the Milky Way, there are 40 BILLION earth-like planets in the habitable zone. And we think there are at least 100 BILLION Galaxies in the observable universe… That’s 4 TRILLION planets, the size of our Earth, which might be able to support liquid water. If just one of these planets has life, then your question will be true.
