• Question: Dear Stefan, In your opinion what is the most interesting planet and why?

      Hmmm, good question. I’ve researched lots of interesting planets. Big ones, small ones, fast ones, hot ones… I’ll give you two. One of them is a general type of planet that I work on called Circumbinary Planets (Kepler-34b for example) which are fantastic because they have two suns, and hence two sunsets.

      The second one is a planet called Beta Pictoris B, which we’ve only discovered very recently, and believe it spins on its axis at about 90,000 km/h, which means it has a day in just 8 hours!
