Question: why do we get earthquakes if they are such a destroying thing?

Earthquakes are a natural process of our planet. Their destructive power is unfortunate, and often tragic, for us as humans, but its worth remembering that they are not only destructive – they also create things (although only slowly!), like mountain ranges, and ocean basins.
