      Iceland – hand downs. Stunning scenery, fantastic geology, and a great culture.

      Also Iceland (snap, Tim!) I spent a month out there a few years ago, studying fish and aquatic insects in a geothermally heated catchment – a group of streams that are warmed by energy from the earth’s mantle.

      So far I’ve been to Canada, Ireland and Scotland for work. I’ll be going to Spain and Germany this year.
      My favourite has been Ireland, I went to Limerick. The maths we were working on was really interesting and the UL campus is beautiful.
