• Question: how come there arent earthquakes all the time?

      Actually, there are earthquakes occurring all the time – just not necessarily at magnitudes that get reported in the news, or that we can feel. The is roughly one magnitude 5.5 earthquake every day, somewhere in the world, along with several magnitude 4’s , and lots that are even smaller. Larger earthquakes typically occur less frequently.
