That’s a difficult question. With a conspiracy theory, it’s essentially one (or multiple) arguments against an accepted explanation. You would need proof in order to support a conspiracy theory, which is often the problem. I have yet to read one that I felt was fully believable.
Although I enjoy films about this, I do find them a little unbelievable sometimes. On the other hand, we do read about groups of people caught doing bad things – so conspiracies exist.
As a scientist I know some story lines are just physically impossible, but it doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the film or book, as I want to see the good guys win.
