This is a difficult theory. You will need to get this explanation from Tim who studies planets

I am not sure I do believe it, but until a better idea comes along, this works for me. Big question is where did everthing all come from, and nobody can say

Yes, I do believe in it, as it is currently the most well-supported theory for how our universe came into existence (in my opinion anyway).

The idea is that the universe initially started as a small singularity (a point in space-time where matter is infinitely dense). Over the next 13.8 billion years, this grew in size to the universe we know today. Exactly how that first point in space-time came to exist is the tricky bit – there are theories that it could have occurred by chance, and that even though the chance of this happening is extremely slim, it is still possible for it to happen somewhere. I can’t shed any more light on that, only that the universe is continuing to expand at a faster and faster rate – to the point where eventually we will be unable to spot other galaxies from Earth.
