• Question: If a new baby was born would it make the world heavier?

      Hi,
      Actually no it won’t. Although you are actually making a new human being. All the atoms that come together to make a new person have come from something else.

      The atoms just change from being one thing to being something else. In other words, all the particles on the planet get recycled and reused.

      But even if it did, the world really wouldn’t get that heavier as the Earth is about 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (I don’t even know what to call that number!) times heavier than a single baby.
