Question: Do different stars/galaxys have different names?

Yes, every star that we know about, and every galaxy as well, have different names. Sometimes the names are a bit boring, just telling you where the stars are (i.e. their coordinates are their names). However, the more famous objects, i.e. stars/galaxies that are particularly special or interesting, get better names. My favourite galaxy is called “The Whirlpool galaxy” because it looks like a whirlpool (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whirlpool_Galaxy).
