Question: Is a galaxy really purple?

If you are asking because of the picture in my profile, no haha. It is just a way of making it pretty. However, you have stars and galaxies that emit light in different colors, and even, in different types of light that you cannot see, like the infrared, radio waves or microwaves like the ones emitted by your microwave at home (if you have one).
