• Question: Why did the Hadron collider fail?

      hi carys I’m no physicist – and don’t really understand the things people are doing at the large hadron collider – but i don’t think it has failed! When it was first turned on i remember they having a leak of liquid helium (very cold stuff!), and that stopped it working! But as far as i know it’s back up and running! I think you’ve got to remember that because it is such a big experiment it will take many years to do!
