      Hi ,
      Another interesting question.
i suppose it depends on where the fight happened: Giant squid are fantastic movers under water but are rubbish on dry land. Likewise, grizzly bears are fast and furious on land but not great under water.

On the whole, I’d have to give it to the squid… if only because 30ft grizzlys aren’t that common!

Got to give me more details starship – is the fight on land or in the sea?

Not much of a contest either way – on land, the squid would be dead in a few minutes anyway, and in the sea, the grizzly would drown.

I think way cooler is the fact that noone has ever seen a live giant squid – they wash up dead on beaches, but people have been trying to capture them on camera for years without success.

I’m not sure how you would bring the two together. giant squid can’t survive out of the water, and if you put a grizzly bear in the water it would drown! However if you could hypothetically make some sort of mixed environment boxing ring, I think the squid would win as it could fire poison at the bear, the bear however really needs contact to inflict any damage.

      Hi Starship
If a grizzly could get to that size then it would probably win, unless of course the fight took place at the bottom of the sea.
