It just so happens that I am hoping to make a breakthrough in the next few months. There’s a project we’ve been chasing for about the last four years, and we’ve reached the point where we’re about to find out whether a new protein we’ve discovered might be targeted for the treatment of some forms of blindness. By about October or November this year we’ll have done the experiments and we’ll know. If we’re right, there will be one heck of a party in the lab that day!
