Hi babyeater good question. I think the reason is something like this….
I think it’s due to something called the bernouili effect. This is that if the air is flowing faster, the pressure decreases (this is the same for most fluids). The flow over the top of the wing flows faster than air on the bottom, and so the pressure is less on the top surface of the wing. This makes a the wing moveupwards towards that lower pressure. It kind of gets sucked upwards!
Looking on the internet it seems that the answer may be a little more complicated than this but i think that’s kind of correct!
