Yes, I go to conferences a few times a year, both in the UK and outside. I have also visited other universities in China as part of a plan for the universities to work together. There are really a lot of chances to travel in a lot of scientific careers.
I travel quite a lot to do fieldwork, and go to conferences. I also get to do lab work in other universities too. I’m off to Prague next week for a conference and then to Turkey for fieldwork. And I’m hoping to go to Los Angeles next year too 🙂
not yet, hopefully though I will get to go to some conferences during the next few years to present my work to other scientists! I would like to be a uni lecturer/researcher in the future which involve some travel but not too much 🙂
I do get to go to conferences sometimes too. To discuss research work I’ve done or learn about new equipment or learn of new ideas. It is good – I have visited some nice places – though you do have to work so don’t always see as much of the country as you might like!
