      I’m not a physicist.

I am led to believe that wormholes (technical term: Einstein – Rosen bridge) are a hypothetical part of some theories in physics. They have never been observed and most theories only posit them forming naturally on a scale considerably smaller than atoms.

I do not know enough about physics to be able to give an informed opinion, but if they do exist, it could be possible (with massive giant leaps in knowledge and technology over hundreds if not thousands of years) to stabilise them, grow them and use them for travel.

You may get a better answer in the space zone!

Sorry, I haven’t studied much physics so I don’t know. But I love reading science fiction, so I really hope so!
