Well, I think if I wasn’t a scientist, I would be a journalist that writes about science. Being a science-journalist means you have to be able to translate very difficult science concepts to people that might not know a lot about it or might simply not be very interested in it. I think I do that well, and I enjoy doing it- I am involved in outreach events for kids, at science festivals, and I am a member of an initiative at my university that is trying to organise an event to make more children (and grown ups!) interested in solving problems using engineering and science in general. The 500£ could be used for this!
