• Question: In the past, scientists have researched and found out various new things... However, by the use of modern day technology and what is available to us scientists have in some cases proven past principles/concepts to be false... In many years time, do you believe that future scientists will prove our principles, concepts, theories and findings wrong by the use of technology that will exist in say 100 years time?

Probably, the answer to your question will be a yes.
Most times in science you find “what is not true” rather than the “absolute truth”. We thought going to space would be an impossible deed and here we are. We thought the earth was flat and here we are. Until Darwin, the evolution theory was a big dilemma (still is sometimes) and here we are. We though heart transplants were crazy and now we are 3D printing organs. With the current developments in technology, some answers are becoming easier to get to, and more questions are being raised.

I wouldn’t be suprised if some of the theories developed now would be superseded in 100 years time, that’s how science works constant reevaluation and testing of theories. I’m sure at one point in the past it was thought smoking wasn’t too bad for you but things move forward and ideas change.

Yes, I believe that future scientists will disprove a lot of what is thought to be true today. If I knew what these would be, I could make myself a very famous person =)

I’m sure much of what we believe today will be shown not to be exactly right. Science is all about finding evidence to slowly move towards the ‘right’ answer.

I think it is very probable that as technology goes forward, we can have a better picture of our reality and unfailingly this would lead to the realisation that many of our scientific theories were wrong.
