• Question: what is the behaviour of the forest clouded leopard

      Great question!

      From my study with the camera traps placed in the forest, we know when during the day, the clouded leopard is active, it mostly comes out in the evenings and sometimes in the early mornings. We also know that it likes higher elevation and more forest cover.

      Clouded leopards are partially arboreal, meaning they spend some time on the trees.

    Clouded leopards are smaller than regular leopards and most other big cats but they can open their mouths unusually wide. Some scientists think this is because they are more closely related to the extinct sabre toothed tigers than other big cats. They can climb trees and eat all sorts of animals including monkeys.
