I wanted to be a vet for a short while until I unfortunately realised I wouldn’t get the grades! On reflection I am glad I didn’t, because I am happy with what i am doing now. Still helping animals but in a slightly different capacity!
I’ve always wanted to be a biologist, so it hasn’t changed completely. But I started off wanting to be a marine biologist, and then ended up studying meerkats in the desert for 5 years, 1000km for the nearest beach.
I had no idea what I wanted to be when I was small. I thought maybe a conductor or a violinist (I played the violin from when I was 6). I went to university, although I wasn’t sure I really wanted to go. I studied psychology and discovered the amazing science of animal behaviour – so yes, my idea of what I wanted to be changed quite a lot
Great question! I had wanted to be a medical doctor, but that was mostly to satisfy the wishes of my parents, as traditional as they are in their thinking.
And yes I am now a conservation biologists, you could say its still about saving, just that its about animals and not humans.
