I didn’t give anything up for because I’m not a religious person. Throughout the year I try to think carefully about what I’m eating. So, I try not to buy any coffee, sugar, bananas etc that aren’t fairtrade, I won’t buy meat that isn’t free-range or has poor welfare standards and I try not to buy produce that gets flown a really long distance and contributes to pollution. It’s hard to get it right but i try my best. For me, that feels right but for someone else, observing lent or ramadan might be very important.

Nothing. I had a catholic upbringing but when I was about 14 I realised I didn’t actually believe in any of it and so I left church out of respect for those who do believe.

I was going to give up crisps but I didn’t last very long.

I didn’t give up anything either as I am not religious. I hope it wasn’t too tough on you.
