      I’ve got a few things going that I’m very excited about. I’m looking at how a stranger vs a horse’s owner affects their behaviour when they’re a little bit frightened. This one also looked at how horses behave once they get upset, depending on their personality and we found the quiet ones were just as upset as the ones that were making it really obvious. We’re also looking at how horses and dogs behave when they’re in pain at the vets so that we can get really good and telling and doing something to help them. Again, it depends on their personality – just like in people.

    I am looking at how elephants behave in zoos – specifically how do they interact socially and why do they interact in that way. What I hope to find out by the end is what affects how they interact – do elephants get on better if they are related, if they have been housed together for a long time, or maybe even if they have similar personalities 🙂 and in the end i hope to be able to say whether elephants have BFFs and if they do, why did they choose them!
