Searching for the truth and then accepting it, even if you don’t like what you found. To do this, you have to change what you believe when new evidence comes along.

Finding out new facts. Those science books you have at school? All the facts come from scientists and have taken years and years to find out. Being a scientist is like being a police detective: you’re trying to answer questions, looking for facts and working out what they mean. There is no crime to solve, just interesting questions – Science is being curious!

Always searching for the next question and the answer to the next question. Science is full of weird and wonderful facts, I think it is great to learn those but it is even more exciting when you start exploring outside of the boundaries of what we already know

Science is a process in my opinion. You have guidelines on how to proceed and science is the process of discovery, incorporating the new findings to identify the next question/missing knowledge, and research again something new. It builds up on existing knowledge and has strong foundations because it is based on objective research conducted using the scientific method.
