      In theory yes, every bird can be an albino – it is a genetic condition. But true albinos are very rare, perhaps because they often don’t survive very long. You can tell a true albino because the eyes are pink. It is more common to see birds which are partial albinos – this is known as leucism, when feathers and body parts are a lighter colour than normal.
