• Question: what is the most comon animals for laboratory testing???

      Mice are the most common laborotory animal for testing, we have mapped their genome and they match ours by 90%. We also have made thousands of Trangenic mouse strains, which several people would consider a refinment over using more sentient species like dogs and rats. Please let me know if you wish me to expand my answer

      One other thing though, the Zebra Danio fish is becoming more popualar and considered a refinement from using mice and in the future they may become the most common lab animal but not for a few years
