At school, I studied quite differently compared to University, but I usually did 3 hours or so of study in a typical night (including homework) Mon-Thur then another hour or two on Friday or Sunday in my final year. I studied more the closer I was to exams!
I definately did study for exams but not to the extent that some of my classmates did, I never pulled an all nighter or anything of the sort as I was well aware that revising while tired/unmotivated was a waste of time! In terms of what I did – that varied with subjects but most often I would do past exam papers and try and draft the best answers possible to potential questions and learn the stuff that way!
I did not do much revision, my school did not offer after school clubs and help with revision we were just left to it, these were the days when we had long hot summers and I had a pony so I have other things I preferred to do.
But I really regretted it when I got older and spent most of my 20s and 30’s doing further education and working hard to get good qualifications.
Have a study timetable and stick to it, try and study in groups if you can, I wish I had!
