      Hey Georgeproge,

      In men, the voice gets deeper due the release of a hormone called testosterone. One of its effects are that it thickens the vocal chords, so our voice becomes deeper (look a guitar and compare the note of the tick sting to the thinnest one to get some idea). This doesn’t happen in women, as they don’t make as much testosterone.
