• Question: Why do we have toes

      Hi again. Probably a similar answer to the fingernails one! We evolved from apes who use their feet as a second pair of hands, so toes for them are useful for climbing trees and to hold tings. Our toes have got smaller as we’ve evolved, as we don’t live in trees anymore, but we do still use them for balance while we are walking.
