My opinion is its a bad idea at any age. Smoking draws poisons into your body, which massively increases your risk of getting heart disease, cancer, diabetes, dementia, emphysema (a lung condition where you find breathing difficult). If you’re thinking of starting, don’t. If you’ve already started, stop.
Smoking is bad always. If you start young or old doesn’t matter. It’s bad.
As Richard says you will increase A LOT your chance of getting awful diseases. But it is not just a physical thing, it creates a very bad addiction with people getting very grumpy and nervous if they can’t smoke.
So you will put your health at risk, you will be grumpy and horrible with people if you can’t smoke, you will stink, have yellow teeth, yellow fingers and even have to go outside in the cold and rain to smoke for pretty much……. no pros.
Yep, it’s a pretty terrible idea. I go to lots of talks on different diseases at my university, and whenever they go through the background information they almost always list smoking as a risk factor, meaning people who smoke are more likely to become sick. It’s especially dangerous if women smoke when pregnant as it increases the chances the baby will be stillborn or underweight.
Have you ever seen pictures of what smokers’ lungs look like? All sorts of tar build-up. Pretty disgusting. Your lung capacity decreases as well, making breathing harder.
