I would love to have some suggestions on this!

If I won, I would work with the outreach teams here at my university to design some sort of interactive activity that was related to the immune system that I (or other scientists here) could take into schools. I remember being frustrated when I was in secondary school because all we ever heard about were careers in medicine, so I want to show students what biomedical lab work might be like.

One of the things I think would be fun would be to try and simulate the method we use for separating blood into all its components. This is the first step in most of my experiments (have a look at my pictures on my profile!), as I want to separate out the white blood cells (the immune cells), from the red blood cells and plasma.

Let me know if you have any ideas 🙂
